About the Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Hardware Design Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing hardware solutions, from prototyping to the final product, that meet the requirements of our cutting-edge technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware design, with at least 4 years of experience in prototyping and bringing products to market. Responsibilities:
Design and develop hardware solutions from concept to final product, ensuring adherence to specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and product managers, to define hardware requirements and specifications.
Conduct feasibility studies and research to identify appropriate components, technologies, and methodologies for hardware design.
Create detailed hardware designs, including schematic capture, component selection, PCB layout, and routing.
Develop and conduct prototype testing and verification, identifying and resolving any issues or design flaws.
Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure a smooth transition from prototype to final product, considering manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
Perform thorough design reviews and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct continuous evaluation and improvement of hardware design processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to hardware design, and apply relevant advancements to enhance product performance and functionality.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and contribute to their professional development.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in hardware design, including prototyping and bringing products to market.
Strong proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout, and routing tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro).
Solid understanding of hardware design principles, components, and technologies, including microprocessors, memory, power management, and communication interfaces.
Experience in performing hardware simulations, such as signal integrity analysis and power integrity analysis, to ensure design robustness.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements for hardware design (e.g., FCC, CE, RoHS).
Proficiency in prototyping techniques and tools, including soldering, rework, and debugging.
Familiarity with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for test (DFT) principles, ensuring efficient production and testing processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex hardware issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
